With most actors and actresses emerging from a raised platform we have majored on staging and added lighting, props, curtains, costumes to complement our stage offering.

Drama was introduced as an examination subject to the UK school curriculum between the two world wars. It allowed and continues to allow our younger years and young adults to engage in the creative and physical art form that builds confidence, social skills and encourages interactive group work.

Drama exists in many forms, masks, puppets, music theatre, film, mimes and ‘life like’ all act as props which in turn complement and aids our students learning experience. Drama is a unique and diverse study that is proving popular in most educational establishments. Unlike any other subject, it allows individuals to experience an alternative way of learning….we learn more through fun!

Drama also focuses on our student’s natural ability and the need to engage in play to create an exciting social activity. Play is a natural physical and mental activity. Drama combines this with education to create a new way of learning and a way of expressing emotions that cannot be expressed by language alone.

Popularity of the subject has lead to around eighty-four higher education establishments offering degree studies in drama and other performing arts subjects.

We are constantly sourcing products for our drama section and so if you can find what you are looking for speak to a member of the team who will be happy to help.
